ASSOCIATION OF GLOBAL MEDICAL ORGANIZATIONS OF NIGERIA (A Subsidiary of Global Medical Organization.org) BASED IN THE USA

GIVES BACK TO SOCIETY

A number of Nigerian citizens have benefited from direct deposits into their bank accounts through the generosity of a nonprofit NGO known as the Associations of Global medical Organizations in Nigeria. It is a subsidiary of Global Medical Organization.org / nonprofit USA as stimulus packages to cushion the effect of ongoing lockdown which entered its second phase on Tuesday 14th of April, 2020.

The President of the organization, Dr. Olatunji Almaroof, through their coordinating Ambassador in Surulere LGA (Comrade Kunle Bello), made this known to our correspondent on Easter Sunday. He opined many ways the government at various levels could reach the downtrodden who are in the dire need at this time.

He noted that the LASTRRA as an initiative of the government contains the data of the majority of residents in Lagos State. He also referred to the registered voters which they could access through INEC and LASIEC, particularly the bank details of voters which they collected during the 2019 general Elections.

When citizens are in a lockdown of this nature which they never prepared for, hunger may resort to untoward activities like crimes and criminality.

Over 100 recent beneficiaries of Global Medical Organization’s cash payments ranging from 2000, 5000, 10000 and 15000 USD each either by physical receipt or payment into their bank accounts include the inhabitants of Ewu-Tuntun in Oshodi-Isolo, Alimosho, Empire in Surulere, Obele Oniwala in Surulere, Koshofe in Shomolu and Lagos Island all in Lagos State. Others are in Ibadan in Oyo State and Osogbo in Osun State to mention a few.

The Organization through its Food Bank Programme also distributed stimulus packages containing medium size Milo tea, 1/2 dozen evaporated milk, a packet of sugar, margarine butter, and bread to over 250 residents as another means of giving back to the society and stemming the tide of Covid-19 scourge.

God willing, the Association of Global Medical Organisations intends to reassess the situation going forward, and move from Local Government to Local Government towards complementing the shortfall in the just concluded food distribution, especially to the needy, vulnerable, and the unemployed.

We appreciate the large turnout of people towards our offer and commend the swift action of the Lagos State Government under the indefatigable leadership of Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, our Warrior Governor against the pandemics. We advise that a viable database is enshrined in the State towards catering for the majority. With our verse knowledge in computer technology, it will be a lasting legacy that will outlive this administration if a world-class database can be put together towards identifying every resident of the State. For security reasons, world giants computer technologists like the USA, Bloomberg Philanthropic Institution can be contracted towards placing Lagos State on the world’s database which will, in turn, generate millions of job opportunities.

However, the NGO enjoins citizens to cooperate with the Government by staying at home, staying safe, and obeying all other directives in remaining healthy and alive.

It wished all Citizens the God’s protection from the dreadful disease, evil virus, a common enemy, and prayed for quick recovery and divine healing for those already infected.
